Speakers

Marius Koch
Solution Architect for Climate and Sustainability, NVIDIA
Marius Koch is a solution architect for climate and sustainability at NVIDIA. His work focuses on AI-driven approaches for modelling physics applied to predicting, mitigating, and adapting to climate change. Marius holds a Ph.D. in aeronautics from Imperial College London and obtained an MSc in aerospace engineering from the University of Stuttgart.
Farah Hariri
Manager for a global team of technical advisors working on AI for Climate and Sustainability, NVIDIA
Dr. Hariri leads NVIDIA’s downstream climate activities close to end users. She also works closely with NVIDIA researchers on AI-powered weather and climate forecasting models and GPU-accelerated computing to build Earth-2, a digital twin that reflects the current and future state of our planet, empowering users to predict and respond to the hardships posed by climate change over the coming decades. Dr. Hariri’s team works on supporting major public and private sector players worldwide concerned with reducing their carbon footprint and with climate risks, thus contributing to successfully applying AI and NVIDIA technologies for operationalization of weather and climate prediction. Dr. Hariri has a broad technical background in theoretical and nuclear physics, climate and energy transition technologies, numerical modeling, and artificial intelligence. Before joining NVIDIA, she worked on climate and energy policy frameworks and has lead various research projects at CERN, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA).
