Jennifer Reynolds

Chairwoman, World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC)

Jennifer Reynolds is the President & CEO of Toronto Finance International (TFI), a public-private partnership whose mission is to promote and develop Toronto’s financial services sector, and to establish its prominence as a leading global financial centre. Her 20 year career in the financial services industry has included senior roles in investment banking, venture capital, and global risk management. Prior to joining TFI, Jennifer was the President & CEO of Women in Capital Markets (WCM), Canada’s largest industry association and advocacy group for women in the financial sector. Jennifer is a Director on the Board of Citibank Canada, Director on the Board of BF&M Ltd, Director on the Board of the Canada Development Investment Corporation ("CDEV"), and a Director on the Board of Women’s College Hospital Foundation. Jennifer is the Co-Chair of the UN convened Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) network and also serves on the Advisory Council for the Institute of Sustainable Finance. In 2015 and 2017, she was named a Women's Executive Network (WXN) Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner.

Kay Firth-Butterfield

Member of the Executive Committee and Head of AI & Machine Learning, World Economic Forum

Kay Firth-Butterfield is Head of Artificial Intelligence and a member of the Executive Committee at the World Economic Forum and is one of the foremost experts in the world on the governance of AI. She is a Barrister, former Judge and Professor, technologist and entrepreneur who has an abiding interest in how humanity can equitably benefit from new technologies, especially AI. Kay is an Associate Barrister (Doughty Street Chambers), Master of the Inner Temple, London and serves on the Lord Chief Justice’s Advisory Panel on AI and Law. She co-founded AI Global and was the world’s first Chief AI Ethics officer in 2014 and created the AIEthics twitter hashtag. Kay is Vice-Chair of The IEEE Global Initiative for Ethical Considerations in Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems and was part of the group which met at Asilomar to create the Asilomar AI Ethical Principles. She is on the Polaris Council for the Government Accountability Office (USA), the Advisory Board for UNESCO International Research Centre on AI and AI4All. Kay has advanced degrees in Law and International Relations and regularly speaks to international audiences addressing many aspects of the beneficial and challenging technical, economic and social changes arising from the use of AI. She has been consistently recognized as a leading woman in AI since 2018 and was featured in The New York Times as one of 10 Women Changing the Landscape of Leadership.

Dr. Jochen Biedermann

Managing Director, World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC)

Jochen Biedermann serves as Managing Director of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC), an international non-profit association registered in Brussels. WAIFC represents 19 leading international financial centers across four continents. Also, Jochen is the CEO of Blockchain Asia Ltd., a Blockchain company founded in Hong Kong in 2016. He serves as an expert to the Sino-German Center for Finance and Economics in Frankfurt, backed by the central banks, government institutions, and leading universities in China and Germany. He is also a Fellow of the Think Tank of the Asian Financial Cooperation Association, based in Beijing. Jochen is Senior Advisor at Frankfurt Main Finance, the Frankfurt financial center initiative, where he takes care of development and implementing partnerships between Frankfurt and other international financial centers. Furthermore, he serves as the FinTech coordinator for the EU Financial Centre Roundtable. He is a member of the Advisory Council on FinTech of Astana International Financial Centre and a mentor at Accelerator Frankfurt, Plug and Play Tech Center, and the Qatar FinTech Hub. From 1999 to 2013, Jochen worked for Deutsche Boerse Group. As SVP for International Affairs, he oversaw its business in emerging markets. Since 2001 he regularly serves as a lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and its MBA students' supervisor. Jochen holds a diploma in mathematics & computer science from the University of Goettingen and a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Cottbus, Germany.

Sri Krishnamurthy

Founder, QuantUniversity

Sri Krishnamurthy, CFA, CAP is the founder of, a Data and Quantitative Analysis Company, specializing in large-scale Machine Learning and AI solutions focused on adoption of responsible AI products in the industry. Prior to starting QuantUniversity, Sri has worked at Citigroup, Endeca, MathWorks and with more than 25 customers in the financial services and energy industries. He has trained more than 10,000 students in quantitative methods, analytics and big data in the industry and at Babson College, Northeastern University and Hult International Business School. Sri earned an MS in Computer Systems Engineering and another MS in Computer Science, both from Northeastern University specializing in Robotics and agent-based systems and an MBA with a focus on Investments from Babson College. Sri serves on the steering committee of QWAFAFEW and is a reviewer of the Journal of Asset Management.

Dr. Jochen Papenbrock

Partner Relationship Manager, NVIDIA

Based in Frankfurt, Germany, Jochen has spent the last 15 years in various roles on the topic of AI in Financial Services, as a thought leader, implementer, researcher and ecosystem shaper. He is a financial data scientist and received his degree and PhD from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). As a consultant, entrepreneur and researcher, he worked with well-known asset managers, banks, insurance companies and central banks. He is a manager at NVIDIA and works with partners, communities, and developers in financial services in Europe and also in some global teams. Jochen is board member of the EU Horizon 2020 project 'FIN-TECH', specialty chief co-editor (Co) at Frontiers 'AI in Finance', and project leader in GAIA-X. He has published on AI and quantitative finance in Journal of Financial Data Science, Journal of Investment Strategies, Financial Markets and Portfolio Management, Quantitative Finance, Applied Financial Economics, Frontiers Journal of AI in Finance and Journal of Network Theory in Finance.

Ron Bodkin

VP of AI Engineering and CIO, Vector Institute

Ron is the VP of AI Engineering and CIO at Vector Institute and is the Engineering Lead at the Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society. Ron is responsible for leading engineering teams that apply Vector’s leading AI research to industry and health care problems for Canada, establishing and supporting world class scientific computing infrastructure to scale the adoption of beneficial AI, and ensuring that all Vector users, sponsor participants and partners are upskilled to use it effectively.
