Dr. Jochen Papenbrock
Head of Financial Technology EMEA, NVIDIAJochen is a financial data scientist with a degree and doctorate from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany. He has spent the last 20+ years in various roles on AI/ML, data science, risk management and IT in enterprises - especially financial services - as a researcher, data scientist, coder, business/management consultant, entrepreneur, editor, (keynote) speaker, panelist, thought leader and ecosystem shaper. Projects involved investment and insurance companies, banks, central banks, hedge funds, trade associations and the European Commission.
At NVIDIA he also heads up the FSI topics for Trustworthy, Explainable AI and Sustainable Finance / Environmental Risk / ESG.
Jochen is a former executive board member of the EU Horizon 2020 project ‘FIN-TECH’, specialty chief co-editor at Frontiers Journal ‘AI in Finance’, project leader in GAIA-X and member of the core team of the finance & insurance data space. He frequently publishes in leading scientific journals and in industry white papers.
At NVIDIA he also heads up the FSI topics for Trustworthy, Explainable AI and Sustainable Finance / Environmental Risk / ESG.

Dr. Jochen Biedermann
Managing Director, World Alliance of International Financial CentersSince 2018, Jochen has served as Managing Director of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC), an international non-profit association registered in Belgium, representing 29 leading international financial centers across five continents. Jochen is also the Managing Partner of FinTech Consult, a network of FinTech experts supporting FinTechs in raising capital and expanding globally. He serves as an expert at the Sino-German Center for Finance and Economics in Frankfurt, a Fellow of the Think Tank of the Asian Financial Cooperation Association, a working group member of Dubai's new DIFC Digital Economy Court, and a long-standing advisor at Frankfurt Main Finance.
Additionally, he is a mentor at Cyberport in Hong Kong, OneEleven in Toronto, the Plug and Play Tech Center, the Accelerator Frankfurt, and 1000 Black Voices. Jochen is a board member of several FinTech and Blockchain companies. Jochen holds a mathematics & computer science diploma from the University of Goettingen and a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Cottbus, Germany.

Olivier Debeugny
CEO at Lingua CustodiaLingua Custodia was initially launched to build very specialized machine translation engines to make financial translations faster, cheaper and better thanks to machine learning. The company has since become an expert in language technologies and natural language processing applied to the financial domain, with offices in Paris and Luxembourg.
Olivier has 18+ years of professional experience within the asset management industry, first with JPMorgan in Paris, Frankfurt and London and then with AXA Investment Managers in Paris holding various operational and commercial executive level positions. In addition to his strong expertise in entrepreneurship and natural language processing, Olivier has a detailed knowledge of both the asset management and fintech universe.
He graduated from the Institut Commercial de Nancy (ICN) in 1995 and holds an MBA from INSEAD (2004), he is fluent in French, English and German.

Jon Webster
Senior Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer, CPP Investments | Investissements RPCJon leads the organization’s technology, data, investment operations, security, and corporate services functions. Together, under his leadership, these functions are responsible for enabling CPP Investment’s investment strategies and supporting day-to-day operations.
Prior to joining CPP Investments in 2023, Jon was a Managing Director and Partner at the Boston Consulting Group where he was a member of the Financial Institutions and Technology Advantage practices, specializing in digital and technology-enabled transformations.
He previously held leadership roles at McKinsey & Company and Lloyds Banking where he served as the Chief Information Officer for Digital and Transformation and Chief Operating Officer for the bank’s digital division.
Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Mathematics and a Ph.D. Mathematics from Loughborough University, UK.

Markus Schmitz
Lead Solution Architect, Aleph AlphaMarkus is a consultant and guest lecturer in the field of AI and Information Systems. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, where he specialized in the design and integration of machine learning in information systems.
As a former AI expert and advocate for BMW, Markus worked on the strategy, design, implementation, and communication of computer vision and reinforcement learning systems.
Since joining Aleph Alpha in 2022, he has focused on enabling others to harness the power of the next generation of AI, with a specific focus on AI enablement, innovative problem solving with large language models, and AI use case architectures. Next to his work at Aleph Alpha, Markus is also a lecturer at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg for Technology Management and Information Systems.

Christian Kunz
Chief Strategy, Innovation & Ventures Officer at DIFC AuthorityIn his capacity as Head of Group Strategy and Innovation at DIFC, Christian is responsible for developing and continuously evolving the strategic agenda and initiatives of DIFC, in line with the UAE’s commitment to innovation and development of future economies. Ignacio Sarasua
Solutions ArchitectIgnacio joined NVIDIA in 2022, where he leads the NVIDIA AI Technology Center initiative for Iberia, supporting local research groups to accelerate their work using NVIDIA's portfolio of solutions. Recently, he has been working with Spanish and Portuguese institutions in training LLMs that support the different official languages in the territory.
Ignacio pursued his Ph.D. at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. His work focused on applying deep learning to the early detection of Alzheimer's Disease. Previously he earned engineering degrees from UPC Barcelona and TU Munich, specializing in signal processing, image segmentation and biomedical computing, and interning with Huawei and Brainlab.
